On the suspension device, various load-grabbing devices can be fixed, manufactured according to individual orders.A lifting mechanism drive is mounted on the head of the manipulator, consisting of a gear motor and a rack-and-pinion device that provides vertical movement of the suspension device with a load.

The main difference between the SHBM-150MI manipulator and other manipulators is the intelligent cargo dewatering system. This system determines the weight of the cargo itself and compensates for it, making the cargo weightless. The vertical movement speed is controlled by the operator, who at the same time simply applies a slight vertical force (no more than 5-7.5 kg) to the suspension device or the load itself, When the control force is applied upwards, the load also begins to move upwards, when the force is applied downwards, the load also begins to move downwards. The speed of movement of the load depends on the applied effort, but can not be more than the maximum. In the absence of control action on the part of the operator, the load is stationary and is held by the lifting mechanism for as long as necessary. The manipulator also has a manual control system for vertical movement of the load.

The lever system of the manipulator boom is balanced by means of a spring device and is designed so that the movement of the suspension device in the radial direction to and from the pivot device occurs horizontally (using the mechanism of the hinge-lever pantograph). Therefore, the movement of cargo in the horizontal plane is carried out with minimal effort.The weight of the cargo is not felt, it is only necessary to overcome its inertia, depending on the weight and size of the cargo. In the absence of an operator's influence on the suspension device or the load, radial and tangential movement of the suspension device does not occur, and the load remains at the rear point of the space. The pivot and suspension are assembled on high-quality rolling bearings, so the rotation of the load around the axis of the suspension device and the rotation of the boom with the load around the axis of the pivot device require minimal operator effort. The manipulator allows you to service a zone with a diameter of 6 m.

The electric drive of the lifting mechanism of the manipulator head is made on a modern element base with the use of a gear motor with an electromagnetic brake and frequency conversion, which makes it possible to smoothly regulate the speed of vertical movements and guarantees reliable operation.

The manipulator is equipped with a light indication of the operating modes of the frequency converter, the overload of the manipulator, the inclusion of the load weighing mode, plugging into the network. To ensure safety, the manipulator is equipped with an "Accident" button placed on the arm, not far from the suspension device. When pressing the button, the load stops at the height at which it is at the moment of pressing the button. The manipulator is also equipped with a self-diagnosis system of sensors and limit switches, an overload protection system. All this makes working with the manipulator not only convenient, but also safe.

Cargo movement control can be carried out with one or two hands, while the cargo can be moved by acting directly on the cargo itself (with the cargo dewatering systems turned on), which is convenient when moving bulky and long loads.
